The name of the guide was Lucilla Favino. To call her a guide is to call gold, iron. She has 2 PHds and is an Roman Art and History expert. She was delightful beyond words. She is not the guide for the average person, but for someone who wants a real Professor who really knows, she is the one. And a wonderful personality on top of all that.

My husband and I had booked a half day tour on Friday morning, September 23, of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Basilica. Our tour guide was Valeria and I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the time we spent with her. The tour that she provided made the most of the short time we had to explore these locations. She was very informative and her extensive knowledge of art history was very impressive.

Our trip to Italy was great and we enjoyed Rome so much. Our only regret was that we did not have more time there. It was nice to be able to get into the Vatican and Sistene Chapel without too much of a wait. We understood from some of our friends who went at the end rather than the beginning of our trip that they had to wait a long time to get in. Also, as my husband was in a wheelchair, we appreciated so much the kindness of the tour guide and driver. There were, of course, many things we did not see, but considering that out time was so limited I think we did well.
